the shocks on the Esavage are going to be my first replacement, because they are cheap so why not...

the Esavage shocks are 145mm and the Savage are supposedly 170mm. would putting the savage shocks on my truck be bad for them?

the way i see it it would probably help, it would give me some extra down travel (hopefully my CVs dont bind up) and they would also be much tougher and have more options of spring/shock tuning.

any input would be good, thanks

I say go for it, I don't see why it wouldn't work. However, if you do have a problem with the Savage shocks then you could always run an internal shock limiter, but you shouldn't have any problems.

It will work, I have sold a few of the E Savages. The only problem will be a higher CG. You can cut down the travel an make them lower with fuel tubing on the shock shafts inside the shock body.

i dont mind a higher CG, i wont be racing it, those are both good ideas on how to limit shock travel. i think ill try them unmodded first and see what happens, and then use those ideas to tune my travel.

thanks guys.

edit: i was just looking at the savage shocks, it looks like they use the spacers also. so should i just try use nitro savage springs on my esavage without the spacers? i do kind of like the idea of longer shocks... and i hear the esavage shocks are junk but i never had a problem with my nitro savage.

i guess ill just get the springs first and see how that works, and then get the nitro shocks if it doesnt work out right. im thinking ill go medium/soft for the springs, some greens or maybe some blues.
