Developed using actual racing data, the DF-03 4WD Racing Buggy Chassis now receives its second body style. Following on the popular Dark Impact, which featured a black-colored agressive appearance, Keen Hawk sports a sleek, futuristic and "heroic" appearance. The durable monocoque chassis provides contortion resistance with a drive-train layout that features a propeller shaft arranged in the center for optimum center of gravity for excellent balance. Combined with the multi-adjustable 4-wheel double-wishbone suspension, it is a force to be reckoned with at the track.

when i saw the body I instantly thought, they released the new buggy already? you know that carbon/graphite rig in another thread around here somewhere, that is a very racy buggy, so is this basically a factory team version of the df-03?

The F1/buggy body is incredible!

Its long suspenion arms and narrow chassis combined with a TNX engine and gear would have great Truggy potential.

Do you think Tamiya will release a Truggy model? :)

I don't see why not..... even if they don't you could probally make your own conversion!

IF they ever want to make an 1/8th scale one, as the DF-03 is a 10th scale buggy. Also when they do make one don't look for it to be on the track, as it will be a basher.

For a second there I thought this was a competition RWD 1/10 buggy! It looks really mean.

These names....

They took influences from the Formula 1 car body style, when they made that buggy body, such as the molded air scoop above the window! :D

I dunno about the name...but that is a sharp looking body. I've been meaning to pick up a Dark Impact for a while...maybe I'll get this version instead.

It's called 'drugs', and they take to many of them in the name-brainstorming meetings! :) Still a nice buggy, tho!

They ran out of animals in the 80's Frog, Fox, Falcon, .... lol jk.

Looks like a nice body, the top air scoop could be made into a functional air duct for the motor.

Personally I'd be torn between the two. Both of those bodies look so cool. Its a good chassis regardless, so you really can't go wrong either way :D

I'd have to say they (DF03) are great cars....I race a DI in the 19t wheeler class and its planted....I've added a bunch of the 3racing stuff and associated shocks. For a 4wd under $200 you cant beat it...parts are dirt cheap, tons of hopups available from japan. Heck the chassis is only $8!!! Give it a shot
