savage x ss shock help

Does any one have a thought to why the top of the shocks on the Savage X SS leak? I had the truck siting flat and there was oil at the top of the shocks. I had followed the directions and remembered to put the orings in and tightened the tops up. Any help would be appreciated. :eek: :confused:

Sometimes on my Savage. The shock caps magicly un-screw themselves. You might just need to keep them tight. Happened on my MGT too.

If you tighten them too much, you distort the seal and that will cause a leak. They need to be tight, but not way tight.
