Does any one know where i can get a outbord for this boat? I know of the grupner gtx480, but they dont make them any more. Is there any other 480 outbord for this boat? Will i have to make my own?

are you talking about the H&M micro cat? if so....they recommend the GTX 500. you can probably get them from any graupner distributer. i just looked at the graupner web-site, and after sifting my way through with the little german that i know, it looks like they are readily available.

Hobby Loby has them....problem is hobby loby sux....lol. My sugestion would be to go to BBY and get his outboard setup and adapt a 480 brushless setup to it. Fullers fast electrics have a nice custom lower unit that can be adapted also.

the gtx500 looks to be the newer version of the gtx480. i don't know if you can order direct, but i imagine you can. here's the site:
http://www.graupner.de/
just click on the Union Jack flag at the bottom.
to help your search, here's a direct link to the page with the o/b unit:

Question? Do you have to run an outboard? Problem is with a micro cat it's going to be tuff to get a scale look. If you go with an inboard system it will look much better not to mention perform way better. If you want a cat with an outboard i would sugest the 21 scat cat from BBY. Things would look alot more scale and getting the CG correct wont be as much of a pain in the A**.

if we're on the same page here, the micro kat is a tunnel hull. don't know why the refer to it as a cat, but oh well.

As usual I had an A.D.H.D moment. James is refering to the #10827 Micro Kat as listed on FDM's site. I got it confused wit the micro iceberg from mhz. My bad...lol

Alright, i went to the graupner site, and i dont know how i missed it befor, but i found it. I was planig to run a proboat waterproof esc, and 8 cells. Since 8 normal sized cell would be to heavy, (I know this would shorten my run time) i was thinking about using tha intellect 1100 cells they use in the the mini rc cars. Im hoping this will get me to 20-25 mph.

Maybe you should consider a lipo pack.

I was thinking about lipo, but its more monry, and i can either have 7.4v which isint much of a proformance improvment, or 11v which is to much.
