Latest from www.traxxas.com. We'll have a separate story on the other winners (and Traxxas), but since Traxxas took the time to send a press release, we'll let them enjoy the limelight! --Pete

Traxxas Dominates RC Pro National Championship Three Years Straight

Where: Rockford Metro Centre, Rockford, IL
When: November 9th thru 12th

The 2006 RC Pro Series has come to an end, and Traxxas nailed its third consecutive RC Pro national monster truck title. This time, it was Traxxas driver Tim Roberts behind the wheel. Tim came into the finals ranked third in the southern division and sixth in the nation. He put on a hard fought battle with Traxxas’ Steve Slayden in the main to take the win, thus grabbing enough points to seal the national championship. Slayden finished second in the main, with Mark Cordeiro (North east) in third, and JJ Turk (Eastern points leader) rounding the top four.

Top Three A-final finishers:

1. Tim Roberts (South) – Revo 3.3 / Traxxas Top Fuel
2. Steve Slayden (South) – Revo 3.3 / Traxxas Top Fuel
3. Mark Cordeiro (Northeast) – Revo 3.3 / Traxxas Top Fuel

Top Three National Points Final Standings:

1. Tim Roberts (South) – Revo 3.3 / Traxxas Top Fuel
2. JJ Turk (East) – Revo 3.3
3. Mark Cordeiro (Northeast) – Revo 3.3 / Traxxas Top Fuel

The season finale was hosted in Rockford, Illinois at the Rockford Metro Centre indoor arena. Carlton Eppes (owner, R/C Pro) went big hosting the finals at the Metro Centre, and the event was no disappointment. Radio control industry exhibits were displayed in the concourse section and the crowd was treated to the best R/C racing in the country. The track was big and provided a consistent surface for the drivers to compete on throughout the entire event.

The monster truck field was packed with Traxxas Revos, with Revos occupying the top ten national points positions and 14 out of 15 spots in the A-final. Congratulations to Tim Roberts for winning the 2006 R/C Pro national monster truck title with the Traxxas Revo 3.3 and Traxxas Top Fuelracing fuel. Check Traxxas.com soon for Steve Slayden’s complete race report.

Bwahaha. It wasn't that long ago traxxas was considered an entry level brand. Nice to see some racing success. May this will earn them more and deserved credibility.

I guess nobody knows about the MT Nationals that just took place in Arizona. Adam Drake and his LST2 were TQ in all the quals and was first through the entire event. Pro series is great but the nationals mean more.

Um, you mean the roar nats in Vegas? A revo won that one too.

Rc pro series NATIONALS are a big deal, maybe more than the roar nats, because you have to qualify for the pro series nats.

The Revo is still a cool truck even though it cost more to maintain than my LST2.

I'm not going to argue about who won or didn't win. Congrats to Traxxas. I still race my T-Maxx and do quite well with it. I did buy a revo once, and sold it as fast as i bought it because MT bodies didn't fit it right. I like the MT look; Big wheels, Ford Truck lids, and big shocks that stick out. The Revo should be in a class all on their own.
