If the chameleon is based on the midnight 2 desgin which the Paradox is based on, then is the timing fixed at 24 degrees and it contains the same magnets as the latter motors?
Actually is the only difference between the chameleon and the other motors is the bearings and a 19 turn armature?

Yes the timing is fixed at 24', it is based on the Midnight2, & the magnets are the same. However he armature is wound on a full stack blank which gives it killer torque, & the pattern is different so as to reverse the rotation of the motor. If you put a Chamelion arm in a paradox can, or some other 24' stock can, you need to reverse the + & - wires, OR swap the magnets to get the propper rotation. I have used them in a Midnight2 can, a Firehawk can, & a Paradox can. They all ran very well, & if you like to tinker they make a great cheap mild mod that is very durable. Use slightly stiffer springs, or a harder brush, for the increased current flow & better durability though. I still used the E brush though for performance. Chamelion arms run about $12.
If you have an old worn out stocker it's a fun project, that can teach you a few things about motors, with a minimum amount of time & money. They drop right in to the above mentioned cans, others I don't know how the end play (armature centering) works out. Just my $.02 ;)

I always thought that 19 turn spec motors were 5 degrees of timing...

B3tyler, Look at the end bell on a Chamelion some time. It's the same as a Paradox except for the color. The arm has 0' built into it just like a stocker, or any other RC arm that I'm aware of. The timing's the same. There are 5' spec motors but I believe those are very mild motors designed to last forever & make for cheaper racing.
