Just thought I'd start a thread here to drum up some interest for our track located down here in Smethport, PA. We are located about a half hour south of Bradford, PA. Offering carpet oval and carpet road course racing on Sunday afternoons. Doors open at 9:30 am with racing getting underway at 12:30. Classes available for many different cars including pancars, trucks, gearbox cars (EDMs/latemodels), 1/18 scale cars, and 1/12 scale racing. Visit our website (www.racersedgerc.com) to check out full details of the track, schedule, entry pricing, and rules for each class. We just hosted the third leg of the Hooter Chassis Outlaw Tour (www.hooteroutlawtour.com) for 4 cell pancars and the turnout was very nice. We try and offer a fun atmosphere of racing and have a good time. I guess that's why our motto is, "Racing to bring you the fun!".

A couple pictures to see what things are like.

We're going to try a few money races from now till the end of our season. With this I was trying to schedule around the Hooter Outlaw tour dates. Schedule will be as follows:

December 30th
January 20th
February 24th
March 17th

We are going to try offering all the classes we normally run. Entry fee for EACH class will be $10 with a 50% payback divided between the A-main (5 spots) and first place in all other mains. We will have a payout schedule listed on the day of the race. Any questions, just let me know.

I have been running there for the last few years and it really is a nice place to race. They had a lot of good comments from the Hooter Chassis Outlaw Tour guys when the were in town that weekend. It is a very well run program. The CRC Fast-track ozite carpet is always clean and fast, they have on-site parts and supplies, a full kitchen with excellent food at a low price, a nice clean bathroom, 50/50 cash and r/c related prize drawings weekly, and the entry fees are very reasonable at only $8.00 and I believe $4.00 for each entry after that! Oh also, there is no need to lug that extra 100lbs of gear here because the pit tables, chairs and power strips are all in place. Also, the facility is all handicapped accessible. The people there are very pleasant and always willing to help. I have run stock truck, pancar and 1/12th scale. The road course is always tight and technical. Throttle control is a must! Trying to keep it together for 8 minutes is pretty intense but its a real blast! It's pretty easy to find too, they are located within the McKean County Fairgrounds , the same place where the big cars run . Come on out and check it out!

Just a reminder, no racing over the Christmas weekend. But on Sat. Dec. 30th will be the first $CASH$ race of the year. Sounds like there will be a big turnout. All classes. All positions in the A-Main pay and 1st place in all other mains. :)

Not a bad turnout considering the blizzard like weather for the January 20th cash race. Despite the conditions it seemed like most of the field were travelers. Dedicated!

Next cash race is Sat. Feb. 24th. And as always, regular weekly racing is held on Sundays. Doors open promptly at 9:30am with the first heat race at 12:30pm sharp! These are the times for both the Sat. cash races as well as Sundays too.
