A good option for a receiver in a 2nd vehicle, when I eventually get one. But doesn't Hitec already have a receiver just like this that also works with all FM transmitters?
EDIT: I guess the model I'm thinking of is this one: http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXGAD3&P=7
Apparently it has been discontinued and replaced with a very similar model.

It's a shame...that IPD receiver worked VERY nicely...Looks like they did away with some of the extra features on the HIS-03MK and repackaged it at a lower pricepoint...Hopefully the new one will perform as well.

That sounds like a nice receiver for the price, but who runs FM these days? If they really want to sell something other than servos, they should come out with a reciever that works with Spektrum. If it were cheaper than the Spektrum brand receivers and worked as well, I'd buy them for sure.

Ummm....lots of people I'm sure. Not everyone has caught the Spectrum wave yet. :D I will definitely consider this receiver for a second vehicle. It's less expensive than getting an Airtronics one.

are they doing awaay with the his-03mm too then? the mk was for nitro cars with failsafe built in but casused havok if you used it in an electric car becuase of the vow voltage feature.. as for price point, i don't see what this does that my 03mm doesn't do, and my 03mm can be had for about $32..

You know, after countless crashes because of the failsafe going on in the middle of racing, getting no real help from hitec, and then selling my MK waaay back. Someone out of the blue finally knows the answer.
