I am just about finished with this Ultimate kit and wonder if anyone has
built one and if so did you have trouble with the wing struts as they are "qoute from GP themselves " they are not glued in to the wings.
what prevents the wings from pulling apart during flight hate to suffer a crash. Thank You.

Upper and lower wing mounts hold the wings to the fuselage with plenty of strength. The wing struts are designed more for maintaining the proper angle of incidence for the wings than providing additional support.

A fair number of 40-sized glow biplanes have no wing struts at all, including the Thunder Tiger Tiger Bipe and the Cedar Hobbies Bipe Stik.

Your Ultimate kit will hold together just fine if built according to GP's instructions.

Thanks for the encouragement , you are in agreement with G P
the struts are firm fit ,but you know how viberation and wind thrusts
can effect and pull things apart . again thanks for responding .

Hello All,

Can someone knows what is the exact Bare Bones weight of the GP Ultimate Bipe 40 please?

Weight should include all frame and included Cowling and Wheel pants, cabane and wing struts, langind gear struts/wires without tires. I mean basic weight off all wood, plastic and components including basic hardware (LG hardware, wing mouting hardware and tailwheel wire.)

thanks,

Mark
