I am getting a new Pede for Christmas and I am not crazy about the 12 Turn that comes with them. Which motor should I turn too, I prefer Trinity but I am open for all options. I am sticking with the stock gearing and I am not looking for insane speed so the 23 tooth pinion will not be used. Im just looking for a better motor thats in the 12 turn range for this truck.

Personally, I am an Orion man, so I would suggest a Method R or Formula bb. I would look at around a 15t, as that will be about equal to the cheapy 12t stocker. If you want to go Trinity, I have heard good things about the Komodo Dragon spec motor, which will be close in performance to the titan. I hate to say this, but you may need to change the gearing a little with a new motor.

I have heard that the stock motors are pretty fast, I would just stick with that until you get bored. Then upgrade when that time comes.

I don't have any suggestions on a motor but I do know that you will have to change gears eventually, whether it be replacing a stripped gear or changing gearing for a motor. You will need to change gearing between different motors or you will be wasting your money by not getting the performance you want and/or the motor will be over gearing and get too hot depriving it's life span and performance.

You can't keep the stock gearing with an aftermarket 12 turn. For one, the 12 turn that comes with the new 'Pede is a 550 size motor instead of 540 size (longer can and armature, meaning more torque, meaning it can pull the higher gearing without breaking a sweat compared to a 540 sized 12 turn).
If you decide to get another 12 turn motor, you're going to need to get a smaller pinion or larger spur, or both. Unless you find an aftermarket 12 turn motor that's 550 sized (which I think Trinity used to make for the emaxx, dunno if they still do though).
Frankenstingers (very fun!) only work with stinger (old rustler and pede motor) armatures btw. The 12 turn armature in the new 550 motors wouldn't fit in a regular trinity, epic, etc. can.
The 12turn 550 motor that come sin the stampede is perfect for that truck.I have one in mine with an xl-10 at has plenty of top speed and low end torque.

i used to have a pede that i put the wide conversion on, and i put a trinity Shock 12 double, and it was silly fast, but fun.

I run Team Orion SV2 Pro BB's in our 'Pede's! The 17-turn is great for wheelies and speed! Geared 15/87 w/ 12 degrees of timing and six cells she can hit 29.2mph verified by my GPS. A great motor! The 19-turn is good too... 26.3mph for those...

Unless you changed the gearing you've a 16-tooth pinion. You should get some numbers on that motor geared 17/87 with 12 degrees of timing. To compare it to my SV2. I wanted to, but ran out of time. My GPS got 24.8mph or something like that in your truck. At least I know it's on par with your GPS! Anyway, I wonder if 6 degrees will give it another mile an hour. If not, that proves that the angled brushes are better in the speed department too, but not by much at all.
The 19-turn SV2 I tested was geared 17/87 with 12 degrees of timing. I was using six 2400 batteries (my good ones). I'm using smaller tires than you are too though...

I mean just try it for a speed run. To see what you get... I'm curious and wish I had the time to test it, but didn't.
What timing were you running? 0? Was your reading 24mph even? If so that's about .8mph per 6 degrees. So, 1.6mph per 12 degrees. That's 25.6mph. Then you have to factor in the slightly higher gearing and smaller tires...
