Hey, I love my trusty ol Kyosho Nexus, and thought it would be nice to start a thread for the old classics. I bought mine used about a year ago, and it has been very dependable. I did replace all the bearings, and a few other goodies after I got it, but since then it has been a joy to own and fly. I started off with a BCP and a VNR3D, but was never able to keep them going. It was either tail motors going out, or 4 in 1 units going out. Needless to say, they both committed suicide on me, then I bought the Nexus and discovered that I was actually able to fly it. If I ever do get another electric heli, it's definently going to have a seperate receiver, speed control, gyro, and a shaft or belt driven tail rotor. I notice that alot of folks think the Nexus is not a good heli at all, but as a newbie, I found it to be easy to fly around. Im into scale flight, so I have no need for a fancy, high tech, 3D machine. The Nexus is perfect for me at this point, and has only cost me fuel since the bearing replacement. I love my Nexus !!! I do have one important issue to deal with now, and that is, I havn't learned how to auto rotate land yet, so if I have a glow plug fail in the air, I will be learning it the hard way. At this time, I don't think I even have any negetive pitch to use on the way down to keep the blades going, I think it's necessary, but perhaps someone can fill me in on that. Until I learn that, i've decided that if the engine does ever quit on me, im going to be slidin it in, down the runway, like a hubcap !!! lol Now if we could only get around that pesky lack of parts issue. Luckily I haven't crashed it yet, and hope I never do...
