Parma come out with the most uglyest bodies

I don't see how that's ugly, but to each his own. I know I'm ordering at least two on Tuesday. I race on carpet and if this is an Alfa-but-better, I'm running it.

 looks strangely like a protoform dna-1...

To me it looks like a tweaked Alfa. I honestly wouldn't have known it was a new body by just looking.

^^^Agreed. Parma has something proline doesnt, and thats good customer service. Ugly bodies or not, we'll see if your saying that when theres one in the winners circle at the birds.

And people wonder why the touring car class is fading away...

My point was that I just don't see how anyone could say or even imply that Parma copied anybody.

I also don't see how this has anything to do with the popularity of touring car racing.

You seriously think that because of 1 body, the touring car class is fading? And the touring car class isnt fading by the way

If anything, it's growing! Look at all the new TC's that came out in the last few months, and all the upgrades and changes in technology that came with 'em.

More bodies just help the growth - and if this body performs as good as it looks (from a racer body perspective), the more the merrier :)

good looking body... the headlight decals are what make it look odd... IMO

I saw one over the weekend. It looks so much like a DNA from the sides.

Yeah its an Uglier version of the DNA... and yeah PARMA does make so ugly bodies.. look like their made out of crappy plastic too.

in my experience, parma's bodies are not made from crappy plastic. They take hits like a tank and dont fold like MF's proline did at the 2004 paved nats.

It looks like a mix of my Stratus and Alpha.

So is this a hybrid body for higher traction Asphalt and lower traction carpet?

Either way it looks faster with less cross-sectional area and better lines to flow that speed robbing air resistance.

Most of the plastics are the same, but like most manufactures they all do the same single draw molding. They need to take it back in some steps and do like sheet metal fabricators do when making complex things like POTS and PAN, SODA CANS, Metal helmets. Do it in multiple steps to eliminate thining in the critical areas. Or better yet, strech that polycarbonate thinner one side so that the rear is light-wieght and thin, and the front is thicker for frontal impacts. Then use a premolded smaller shape to draw the top a little thinner, then draw the sides.

I second that. I've never had any problems with Parma's quality, and their customer service is excellent.

I am not saying it is... i may be the best, but for advertisment purposes they could make them look as good as Pro-line bodies... And also add more interesting paint job,

i dont what it is but PLs bodies look so much better....

the body's not too bad... the paintjob is weak and they could have moved the windsheld down further so it doesn't look like a receding hairline... I think that's what messes up the look for me

other than that... not too bad.. especially if it works.. I think more companies should make generic bodies based on aerodynamics and handling and leave te scale bodies for Concours

wow you guys are amazing. "that paint job isnt great, i wont buy it" "it looks like a xyz, i wont buy it" guess what, try it it first, and see if your lap times are faster. And for the record, its not a DNA 1 rip, its not a anything rip, if anything is a updated alfa. Almost everyone who wasnt contracted and paid a salary by protoform ran it at the novak race this weekend. The body is dialed on thet track and thats all that matters. If you dont like the headlights, dont run any, or paint your own, you cant even tell when the car is going 40mph anyway.

Meanwhile if anyone wants to acuse anyone of copying, look at the Parma Alfa, it was like nothing when it came out, yes it had the name but compared tot he losi or protoform it was TOTALLY different. then the stratus 3.0 came out, it was extremely similar to the parma. looking at it from the side it was very different than anything protoform had come out with, yet very similar to the parma, hood lenght, cabin size and shape and rear deck. Look then at the g6, again very similar, and the DNA i have not looked at alot but i wouldnt be suprised. the Mowak is very similar to the alfa, it might have even been made of the same mold, i didnt ask chicky, but it has a rear deck spolier, more of a channel on the hood for more grip and a flatter door top area below the windshield again for more downforce.

dont judge it unti you try it and see your laptimes, then at least you have something reasonable to argue about.

if you want pretty bodies that are heavy and dont work run TCS or something...

I went to my local track to watch some tc races. Mostly everyone ran this body and i overheard one guy say he liked it better than the dna. He said it handled better and felt faster. WHen i get into tc racing i will be sure to give this body a try.
