Hey MabMan -
I remember a few months back there was a discussion of adding an Intermediate class to the Best Paint Competitions for those of us who do sell their work but really have no chance of beating the real Pros who submit entries.
I'm not whining that I'm not gonna win, because, although it is nice to win that isn't really why I enter my work. I enter because I enjoy showing my paint work off. But, I was wondering if you had given any thought to creating a third class of Intermediate - not an Amateur anymore, but not quite able to hang with the BigGuns like adrcracing and Lidz etc. just yet.
I'm not sure just what qualifications could be set up to determine whether a painter falls into the Intermediate or Pro class, but I think the viewers and other entrants of the competitions can make that assessment as they have in the past of suggesting some people step up from Amateur to Pro.
I figured with the start of a New Year, and the beginning of a new round of competitions, this would be the appropriate time to bring this up.
