I read your response to Bob Huff regarding his lack of carb response. Ran across something like that with a ZDZ engine, where the carb butterfly was reversed in the carb venturi, this was done by the owner of the engine. In any event with the butterfly reversed. the low speed jet openings were not getting the proper vacuum thru the venturi and that engine wouldn't transition worth a darn. Just a suggestion but Bob might want to make sure that somewhere along the way the butterfly has not been reversed, and maybe that's causing his carb transitioning problem. An easy way to check is to make sure the screwhead holding the butterfly inplace is facing toward the engine, as well as making sure the butterfly is closing over the small openings inside the venturi.
Thanks for your time, I hope this helps.

Dear Greg,
Thanks for taking the time to write regarding the butterfly in the Walbro carburetor on your ZDZ engine having been installed incorrectly. Strangely enough I ran into this very same thing with the ZDZ 50 I reviewed in R/C Modeler back in the Aug. 2003 issue. I mentioned it in the review which really upset the ZDZ people.
Best regards,
