Hi guys and galz,

There is a new "mask" company that has been started. The name is, ironically, RC Lidz.

Not Lidz or R/C Lidz... just RCLidz

After being made aware of this "mistake" the owner played the legal cards and said that since I never registered or trademarked the name it is perfectly okay. True, it may be legal, but definitely not moral.

I can't ask any of you not to use the products, but please think about it prioir to offering this joker any money.

Wow Lidz! Thanks for the link to the great site!!!!

J/K man. That sucks that he got your name. But we all know who the REAL Lidz is.

My question is, why would you use the name rclidz if they don't paint anything or make the bodies?

Clearly they seen your name before and said that would be perfect even though their name should be something along the lines as the mask depot.

Also not to defend you (aimed at them. That is by far the worst site I have ever, and I have seen some bad sites, but that is the grand daddy of bad sites.

Dang Lidz! I don't think you need to worry about this guy. I don't think he'll last long. Did you see his product line? Lol Sit back, be a cool cat, and let this guy fade away.

Man that line up really sucks. The site is one of the worst ever. I give him a full month before he is done for.

Although I rarely ever post on any "paint" threads, I've been hanging around this board to know that there is only one "Lidz". Your unmistakeable style and quality speaks for itself. This bozo poser doesn't even deserve any acknowledgement or even a "click".

Lidz is a word someone comes up with only once so im fairly confident as someone said they have just seen your alias and thought "yea...thats a cheap and effortless way to make profit".

just hope noone mistakes that garbage for your work original lidz..

Hence forth the lids of RC Zone will be known as "The Lidz" and the new guy will be known as "Captain Rip-off"

I have seen other sites using "lidz" in part of their names. I can only assume they were trying to flatter you by imitating your name, because they couldn't imitate your works!

Long live the original. Sticker graphics are for the hoods of TransAms in 1977 and have no place in RC. Real paint rulez!!!!!

I don't hate TA's!!! I worked at Pontiac in 1977 and loved it every second!!

Sticker kits are cost effective in the auto industry. I hate them on RC's, because I paint, and it scares me !!! :D

Long live Smokey and The Bandit!!!!

Well he's proved one thing for sure, he's not creative. He can't even come up with his own name. Wonder how creative those masks are...or are they stollen too?

He even admits that you only have to change things a little bit to avoid legal problems. Sneaky people get exposed for what they really are every time.

I prefer to deal with stand-up guys, given the choice.

There is no free lunch, unless you steal it!
