hello gang!i just kinda of wanna to share my attempts at true fire.

first truck is a bolink s 10 body.the boday was airbrushed with parma faskolors.i sprayed translucent yello, then did the fire licks with regualer yellow (licks were made by index cards cut up)then i sprayed translucent orange and then went over the licks again with regualer orange.then i high;ited some of the licks with pearl razberry by faskolor.then i back the whole thing in faskolor black.by using faskolor paints this way,it comes out too muddy looking and it doesnt have the depth to it.

next car i airbrushed this McAllister 1957 chevy.this time i followed instructions out of a r/c car magazine.i did what it said to do step by step.first i sprayed aclid II transparent yellow.then i did the licks using pactra sprint white laquar paint.then i sprayed aclid II transparent red.then i added more licks using the sprint white again.then i backed the whole thing with kyrlon black fusion spray paint.i didnt understand why the flames came out pink in color.,but i was just informed that they thought the problem lied in i didnt spray enough red?????i will try this again soon!i am gonna try a couple of diffrent things!i keep you posted, anyway enjoy:

It's for sure not a 57, they had way bigger fins.

The grille looks off for a 56 too, it doesn't wrap around the sides like a 56

no man its ok!i appriciate it!its cool!

as far as the kyrlon holds up, i reccomend it for the hard body tamiya bodies like midnight pumpkin, etc.if you use it as the only color on a lexan body (spraying inside of coarse),its fine but dont paint it with like faskolor,it dont mix /blend too well!

i bought the body from mcallister racing n thye have it listed as a 1955 chevy,i dunno what i was thinking saying it was a 57',maybe i was tired or soemthing?hehe!
