lrp sphere setup problem

trying to do the initial setup on a sphere just returned to me from associated(had a "stuck" setup button). having problems doing the throttle/brake setup. . have it wired over to a neo 2 star. ALL WIRING CORRECT. problem is that even though i followed the proceedure to the letter, i have no throttle.."mod" and "setup" leds flash when i apply throttle/brake at the end of the setup proceedure.......steering servo works fine( i know this has nothing to do with the esc....just proving that the channels are aligned). swap this same neo to another sphere..works fine. any ideas.....just short of sending it back to associated

Mess with your radio settings: trim, endpoints, the whole shebang. It could be possible a trim knob/tab got knocked and your radio is basically no longer at neutral (meaning it won't set itself up).

Other than that, send it in.:D

thanks.....will give it a shot.............but, same radio(xs3) settings work fine with my other sphere/neo set-up that i have in my XX4.......just swapped the receiver lead from the installed sphere/neo setup and plugged in the receiver lead from the "questionable" sphere/(brand new) neo....prior, this same neo motor worked fine with my "old" sphere.............all of this deal without changing any xmitter settings..............

Hmmm. Well, personally, the last time I had an LRP ESC replaced due to a factory defect (must have been 4 years ago at least, maybe 5?), LRP sent another defective unit, or it was my old unit with a new case or some crap. Maybe the same happened to you (getting a crap unit for your crap unit).

Call LRP/AE up and ask them what's goin' on here.
