Hi, I just ordered a MM 5700 package for my B4. I have the stock spur gear and was wondering what gearing I should use(or can safely use) with a 3s lipo pack and also 6cell NimH packs for racing. Also if anyone knows, speed estimates would be appreciated :) THanks.

For 6 cells, racing I would start with 20T... but really you need to just run it and see if it's fast enough for YOU and gear up/down as needed. The MM can take about any gear you throw at it.

cool thanks I was just wondering if there are any limits cuz I kno with normal brushed motors and esc's there is a gearing limit like for 12 turns the biggest you can go is like 19 for example

Gear it up until it starts thermalling and then go down a couple teeth :D

Haha.. Nice.

Anyway, I would probably start it at around 20t like mentioned above. If it's too fast, drop it down a few. If it's too slow put it up a tooth or two. Also, if you haven't ran it yet - watch out for your gearbox/tranny gears. I have a B3 with the 5700 and I have sttipped the diff and idler gears every time I run it. You'll probably need to replace your idler and diff hear with aluminum or titanium. I think I run 20/84 on mine w/6 NiMH cells. Speed estimate: 35 minimum.. 45 max I'd say.
