Swap any two motor wires and it will run in reverse just fine.

Any two of those three wires should flip the rotation. I'd suggest a 4600 for a semi (on 3s if you want to go a little crazy). That should be plenty, but not gearbox shredding overkill. The tamiya semis have 3 speeds, don't they?

a massive aerodynamic silhouette...
As aerodynamic as a brick...yes.:D
"High gear" in that thing is a stump puller too! Wooo! definitely go with the 5700 then.....or even the 7700. "Middle gear" should be torquey enough for either system without problems too I would guess. "Low gear" looks fun for nasty speed runs.:D

gonna get the 5700.....
ET,
I guess I could always gear down with the 7700 heh....so getting the 7700 might be a decent idea then if gearing down is possible.

7700? I would think the 4600 can break the trucks transmission.

I think over at RC-monster someone put a brushless or a low turn mod motor in a tamiya 3-speed Semi also. Had some videos of it too. It was ridiculously fast! I think the tranny held up fine too...(at least for the videos I saw...?).
Alas...jock will find out the hard way....:D Post pics and vids jock!

I've stripped a gear in my tranny every time I ran the 5700 in my B3. But I've had better luck with it in my TC4 :)

Out of curiosity, how did you get it to go down to 183? It's at 213 right now so you'd need a 30$ off coupon (I only see a 25$ off as the current offer) as well as some sort of free shipping coupon (but usually they don't like you using 2 coupons at the same time :( )

Not broken anything yet in my Rustler with the 5700...(I cheat though, the drivetrain is all aluminum/steel now...:D)
