For those of you who said the 5700 was too slow and the 7700 was too fast, we at Castle Creations have got just the answer....the Mamba Max 6900kv motor. Castle is pleased to announce the immediate availability of our newest addition to the mind blowing CM36 series of brushless motors which are the perfect compliment for the awesome Mamba Max controllers. These motors are built to the highest specifications and feature high torque Neo magnets and oversized lifetime bearings with hardened steel shaft. The 6900 packs a lot of punch on a 6 cell NiMH/NiCad pack and is inredible on 2s lipo, yet the 1/10th scale car, truck, or buggy will still be (almost) controllable. This motor is best compared to a 6T brushed motor on steroids, but with none of the maintenance. For more information please visit our website at www.castlecreations.com Mamba Max...Make 'Em Cry!

can these run on 3s lipo? if not, i rather stick with a 5700 and a 3s.

Looks like it says 2s max on the back of the motor.

I'm tempted, but the castle motors run too hot for my liking:(. The ESC is great though.:D

I'm a little confused on the advantage of 6900 vs (7700 and 5700) other than the kv rating fits in the middle. Not to be negative, but I would have figured the input voltage limits to be higher than the 7700 to bring out an advantage.

The advantage is exactly that: it's in the middle of the 5700 and 7700. For racing, the 5700 may be too little for some tracks, but the 7700 may be too much. The 6900 may therefore be "just right". It's also another motor in the arsenal to fine tune one's driving skills I suppose.

Exactly Electric...many tracks don't allow lipos, the ones that do mostly allow only 2s. The 6900 fill the void nicely. :)
