News from Gamma Star Models:
This piece of info is really big news to those folks, like myself, that like to build their models out of Depron.
Now; both 1mm Depron and also 9mm Depron, both manufactured by Depron BV, are both domestically available from RC Foam at www.rcfoam.com. The 1mm is available in both sheets and lengths of it in rolls. It's so pliable that it can be rolled around a 4" cardboard, protectively covered, and then sent to the customer in the mail.
This is also big news; because RC Foam purchased the entire production runs of these two special sizes, becoming the exclusive source for both thicknesses, which join the company's complete assortment of not only other sizes of Depron, but other types of foam and associated products.
Finally; one can build a "stick and tissue" model, either homebuilt or from available kits, such as either the beautiful Guillows P-38 or B-24 -- and cover it with 1mm Depron instead of film. That allows the model to be finished to look like having a true metal finish with no rib lines which is what it should look like. Great!!!!
