My friend has has his t-macc 3.3 for about a year and it started to get a problem with the engine!(no problem with me becuase I have a SAVAGE 25!). Everytime he takes off the glow plug and shows the piston it moves up and down when he stick in the easy start! Then when he puts the glow plug back on it seems to lose energy when he puts the e-z start in and tries to start it and after 2 seconds it dies out! After the 2 seconds it sounds like the piston doesn't move and we don't know what the problem is? Before we take it to a hobby shop and get it fixed for 20 does anyone know what the problem may be?

no need to post a thread twice

its not a problem, its called compression, engines are easier to turn over with the glow plug out, if it dies after 2 seconds then its a tuning issue, look up alot of tuning guides and read them all, it should help, also it sounds like the ez start is drained

nah, ez starts have a built in feature. if its got too much load they auto shut off. wait around 20 seconds then it will work again. make sure its not flooded!

The EZ start does not have an auto shut off feature. That's why the manual says not to hold the button down for more than 3-5 seconds, it will burn up the wand. If it's cold outside the starter motor will have a hard time turning the engine over, try warming the block with a hairdryer before starting.

I believe the second gen e-z start is supposed to have an "overheat" feature. How that works and if it works I don't know. I would say try putting a manual glow ignitor on it. The circuitry inside is supposed to turn the motor over and light the glow plug. In the event of the batterys getting low, its supposed to turn the motor over first. Make sure the battery pack that you are using is good and charged, if its an old battery pack it may be losing some of its punch.

Have you read the forum rules? It says no posting threads multiple times and in different sections. Anyway i don't know what the problem with the engine is.
