Picked up a rc mag and seen it but curious about youre thoughts on it. Curious about front differential for 4 wheel drive. Its been awhile since ive been here but a truck like this could get me back into rc because txt1 and twin force seem to be real pricey (especially txt1) I did see that ford hi lift and it seems more along the lines of a pricey capable 4x4 for the shelf (they dont make them like they used to) and that might bother some but not everyone wants to spend $500.00 or more for a ride to bash around so When I seen this new little monster (hpi wheely truck) it seemed perfect for me so whats youre thoughts? Please refrain from calling me a cheap skate! :D

Going off looks and a longtime truck - I prefer the Stampede.

Well I thought it looked pretty cool, the stampede is cool cause its like a stadium truck with longer suspension travel. I think this new hpi is worth the 4x4 conversion cause as far as I know its the only recent reasonibly priced solid axle truck that uses what I think are 2.2 in. wheels (like stampede, wild dagger etc.) for a while but my choice HAS to be 4 wheel drive (its a ego thing  ) plus living in the woods it comes in handy in what I call a backyard  Did want a twin force cause its great but oh well.

I seen a few videos of it and personally i don't thin its to great,
the HPI one where it is jumping the suspension doesnt even move so it made me wonder if there is any that works,
I don't think it would be to good at the track either.
One thing i know is it floats in the water because of the big tires.

You should see mine. :)
Suspension works alot..........
You need more speed to see it blossom..

Oh, that is a bit stupid isn't it, the HPI's own promotional video makes it look worse than it is =)

I have a XXXT for the track. but all thats a pain in the but. I like the backyard way of the hobby thats why I am sort of interested in it but a Twin Force will still chew it up, spit it out, and then ramp it! :D Where is the Beef HPI oh I know Savage, but Electric is another source of power (mostly Torgue) people still use. Make it 4x4 Please!! Thanks for the thoughts. Oh sorry if not up to date of the items out there (sometimes they bore me) right now.

Sorry if that crack about the trucks hurt youre feelings  Can you post pictures of your ride? if so that would be cool! You ought to get some of those Imex tires for it  Oh there is a e savage (knew i was missing something) but i will assume it has independant suspension like the nitro 1. I think i am at the wrong message board (will have to check out the rock crawlers) and what happend to the definition of a monster truck? Independant is perfect for the track but REAL monster trucks dont have that setup they are designed for articulation. Yup wrong board :D

Appreciate the info. I have decided that the wheely king is a steal even though it costs extra for 4x4 parts but even though its smaller than twin force and txt1 its better for me, less to muck with 1 motor makes it easier and LOVE the suspension ( i stopped by and seen 1 at hobby shop) youre truck may be small but its a beast in my opinion.

Actually more interested in a crystal ball like yours :) I figured it would come but Im impatient :D I hope the battery could be relocated for weight transfer but if not thats ok cause Ive not been interested in a truck like this since The Wild Dagger (been a few years) but its gonna be mad about the new guy!

im sorry and probably stupid, how does the 4 x 4 thing work, does it ahve a centre diff, cor is it one massive driveshaft or something else, actually how does something 4 x 4 wheelie anyways dosnt all the power go to the front when the wheels lift off the ground?

it doesn't have a center diff. Its just a gear reduction box with a solid link for front and rear.

I bought one, put less than a battery pack through it, gave up, swapped the electronics for something a bit better, drove another half a battery pack, gave up again, and sold it. The quality of the truck was alright, but the performance? What performance? It had no speed, no torque, and it rolls over at 10 mph.
The only good things about it are the looks, the steering (despite the crazy linkage setup, it actually swings them lock to lock on carpet with ease which is very impressive), and the huge tires. I guess the fact that you could probably make a pretty cool crawler out of the axles if you were so inclined is another plus, but considering you can get a TLT that is 4WD for less than half the cost and have a more buildable platform that you don't have to spend another $40 on to make 4WD, I don't really even see the reason to build a crawler out of it.

Thats why you re gear, and re motor.
It's a project truck, and it didn't take much to make mine handle, jump, and rock...
Does it do as good as a stampede or a rustler or a b4 or MF2 ? no
but given it's stance, you can make it a fast little "scale monster"

I thought it was a complete waste of a money personally, but I've seen the mods you've done to yours, and while I still wouldn't want it, I do agree that it looks pretty scale, so if you're into that type of thing, it's definately a good starting point.
