Hey all, Just picked up my first RC heli, a Twister Blade Medivac heli.

It's just a stock standard fixed pitch co-axial (learnt those words already :D) heli but OMG It's gotta be the most fun I've ever had with 2 hands. (well almost anyway ;) ).

My LHS guy was REAL good about it, I basically told him I wanted to get into it and he steared my towards the easiest to fly, cheapest heli that he had, hw could've tried to sell me somthing really stupid (and I probably would've got it too) but he was good about it so cudo's for him. He also threw in 2 Sets of blades and another Lipo pack for Free (about AU$80) which was awsome....

Anyway, already broke the flybar once, landing upside down on a couch isn't the best thing for a heli :D) But I can hover now, the thing pretty much flies itself.

Have been flying the Blade CX 2 for 2 weeks now and love it! easy to fly after the first couple of wreaks. I fly it all around the home now and started taking it to parks.

My LHS guy must love me atm, when I bought mine I crashed it a few times but eventually got the hang of it. Anyway took it to show off to all my mates and now 3 of them went out and got the same one as me to fly and theres a few more that are thinking about it. I went back the other day and he was pretty impressed with my effort :D. When my friends get good enough we're gonna start some formation flying lol :D.

here's a dmage count so far of me and my friends:

- Main Rotor shaft X2.
- Tail Assembly (the whole tial of the heli snapped off, trees are not good to fly into).
- Front Canopy.
- Around 12 blades, around 8 of those are mine (2 sets).
- A big toe, Landed a bit sideways on my friends foot and made his toe bleed.
- My finger, stupidly turned off the TX before RX, coped a quick slice to the finger, healing fine now.

I hope your finger heals well. We might have to get flying insurance soon! Is there such a thing??

It's all healed now, it was nothing major, didn't loose it or anything.

It's amazing how some people are completly freaked out by helis and then others are completly unaware of the dangers.

eg. I was flying arround with my mates and we were just goofing around, they were trying to hover and I was flying around them pissing them off. Well one of them decided to just walk right on under where I was flying as if to limbo under it... I was like GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY. Do they not understand that the blades spin REALLY fast and could do some serious damage, especialy to the throat?
