well i was going to buy a e max when my freind came to me and said he would sell me his t maxx for 200 i talked him down to 170 and was woundering if yall would pay this i has been ran like 5 times tops and never ran on anything but a perfect tune cause he always went to the hobby shop so would u pay it and how durable is the maxx

It sounds like a pretty good deal to me....what version is it (2.5, 3.3)?, what will you get with it etc....

o yeah sorry about that its the 2.5 and i get everything hes got so i think i get 2 glow plugs the radio starter maybe half a quart of fuel the body all the basics and yeah they will be here but 17vs. 439 is a big difference o yeha it will be for all bashing hill climbing mudin stuff like that

Yeah, but i have a different opinion on this one. I have both a t-maxx 2.5 and savage x and i like the savage x a lot better. T-maxx isn't that great for bashing, it sounds like what you want to do. They break a lot and one thing i don't like about them is it is a small block. A stadium truck has the same engine in it, that isn't right. But if you weren't shopping around for them and weren't going to buy another one and just decided that you might buy his then go for it because it seems like a great deal. You could also get a couple hop ups too if you wanted. Just be ready to work on it and spend money in repairs if you are bashing. I would recomend a savage over a t-maxx any day but this is such a good deal then i think you should get it.

The price is pretty good for the t maxx, sure theres better but compared to 170 ur gonna spend more on the other comparable trucks. Atleast it frees u up to upgrade it.

ya i would buy it for that much if it doesnt have any problems and is in good condition. there not the best bashers but hey 170 with everything is a pretty sweet deal.

oh also if your only going to be spending 170 you will have room for upgrades. and if you ever get bored with the 2.5 you can always upgrade to 3.3.. so that would put u at 270 about which is still less than a new t-maxx 2.5 which runs about 370 so ya i would buy it. plus parts for it arent that bad, like the normal stuff u will break

I never liked my Maxxs 1.5 or 2.5. But I love my E-Maxx... Never liked the Savage 21,25 But I loved my Thunder Quake.....

so bought my t maxx earlyer today runs great and just thought of a good idea i got a force .26 engine i could put in it would it fit? if so will it give me alot more power its a 2.5 maxx

at $170 with every thing to run is a great deal. and as stated you'll have to get a BB conversion kit to use the .26 If you want to go that way look at upgrading the axles they are one of the weak points in a T-Maxx with the BB they will be under alot more stress.
I have 1 Savage X, 1 S-Maxx 2.5 with 4X4, 1 T-Maxx with an OS.18 in it, 1 Extended BB T-Maxx, 1 E-Maxx, 1 Thunder Tiger SSK V2.
Over all my favorite is the Savage by far the toughest truck I've seen. the T-Maxxes are ok my kids love them to bash around with them but they don't take half of what the Savage has been through. mostly twisted axles or broken Motor mounts stop the Maxxes.

well thanks everyone for ur imput i am really injoing my t-maxx i9ts been climbig my hills real nicly and when i get home from school and the hobby shop tomorow i plan for some mud time the only thing i want to ask is whats a good glow plug to run in these

It is a good deal. Ive had my 2.5R now for a wial and been racing on off road track. Yes sht brakes but man its fun. By the way for all you savage boys I tear my friend up every weekend on the track. Straights not so much but track hell ya.
