Hey everyone just wanted to drop in and say hi. I'm new to the hobby and just trying to find all the info I can. I friend of mine came down from Dallas and took me to some RC races at 59 and Porter. Mike's I believe. Well now I'm hooked. :)

I'm jumping in feet first and have ordered a Mugen MBX5R. Does anyone know of any good hobby shops around the Woodlands area?

I'll have to check them out. Do they have a lot of nitro stuff? Also I work at 290 and Bingle if there are any shops in that area I can visit during lunch.

There are a couple of spots close, the one at 45 & 1960 is Larry's Hobbies. There is also a Hobbytown in Portofino center near the Sam'c Club, If you enter the lot near the Sam's gas pumps, turn right and it is right there. Hobbytown doesn't have much in the way of 1/8 scale stuff though, mostly Monster trucks. But if you bought 1 now, you'll buy more. :D There are also tracks in Pasadena, Bellaire, New Caney, Mike's and a bashing spot forming in Humble.
