Thanks guys! I think a wing would look good also. I'll get one in the month or so. I think that and a bigger fuel (TeknoRC mod) tank are probably the only other mods I'm gonna do. The list of mods is already a mile long.

you think it will be allowed to race with the larger capactiy fuel tank? Cause i know with the LST with most places with i use a 220CC tank they wont let me use it.

150cc is the biggest legal tank size. The Revo comes with a 125cc tank.
Here are pics with the body off.

This is a 2.5 that has been ported, polished and balanced. It has close to the same power of an O.S.TM .18.

If its a racer, I'd lower it and put a wing. Otherwise it looks good. What springs are you running? I'm using orange springs in the front and gold in the rear with 50wt oil. That setup should make you sit a little lower. And to get a little lower then that, place your pushrods to the outside holes. Then you got a racer!

I have the pushrods on the outside holes. I'm running 50 wt oil, and I'm using green shocks on the front and gold in the rear. Its sittin as low as it needs to without bottoming out too bad coming off jumps......thanks anyway. The ride height also depends on where you have the pre-load collars.
Here is a pic so you can see how it actually sits. I don't think it needs to sit any lower. Why don't you post a few pics of your racer. I would like to see it. What other mods should I do Serpent?
Why does everyone insist on having a wing to make it an official racer? I've been racing for a couple of years and I've done fine without one! I know it keeps the body from getting scratched up, but I like it without one.

That ride height is right... looks very low. A wing is not necessary if you do fine without it, Slayden used to run without a wing and with Truggy Nationals so..
As for mods... nothing, just weight save like remove the radio box and stuff, weight loss is the best and i mean best performance tuning you can do...

Weight isn't really anything I'm worried about....Even though I've taken a ton of it off my truck. It will flip over on its lid when it hits second gear. :D If anything I'm gonna add a little weight to the front end.
Here is a pic of the bottom. I guess the entire Revo has been shown now!

I have a bunch of stuff on my Revo. I got gold and orange springs with 50wt oil, FOC, pull start, hellfire wing, tekno servo mount, tekno radio box, removed handle, trimmed bumpers, MS air filter, red pushrods, THS pipe, and probably missing a few things.
I'll post a complete list of mods tonight as well as some updated pics of it. Haven't taken pics of my Revo for a while, so I'll post them tonight.
As balang said, weight saving is everything. Look into Tekno to save some weight on the servo mount and radio box. They also make a fuel tank conversion to allow a biger tank.

I have seen so many mentions of a wing on stuff like this, but my questions is, does a wing on an rc car actually do anything? I am not accusing, just asking. I am a car guy, and have been for years, and it cracks me up to see these little front drive Hondas with 2 ft. tall wings off the back. A front drive car, with a wing for down-force. Hmmmm. Seems to defeat the purpose. Especially if a wing doesn't have any effect (on a 1:1 car) until around 100mph.
I do agree, a wing gives anything a "race" look, but is it needed?
PS-F150man, it looks killer! Nice work! And the bling behind your ride to boot!

Thanks man! The only reason I would get a wing is to protect the body from gettin scratched up when it flips. Some claim they have more control in the air but I'm not sure. A wing only works when you have enough speed to cause downforce....Last time I checked my Revo didn't fly off of a jump @ 70mph....Oh well...
Oh man...you gotta love a 4 cylinder with a 3' wing and stickers from auto-zone. I guess stickers, coffee can muffler and a wing makes for a fast car?

It sure does... but in Italy it gets even more extreme.... front wings and stock ride height, and stock 14"wheels.. thats what some stupid people have on their little 1400cc Peugeot and Opels and stuff, their a disgrace to the motoring world... and dont forget the scotch tape flame down the side, a must for increased aerodynamics, and chromed coloured plastic wheels covers...

Hey guys, I was lazy last night and didn't take any pics of my Revo. I work only a half a day today, so I'll definately post some new pics.
I like the looks of a wing on the Revo. I had a ProLine 1/8 scale wing and it looked a little big. So I switched to a Hellfire wing, looks a lot better now. Its up to you on the wing, personal preference I guess. It will definately protect the body a lot. I think it helps a little bit however.
