hey guys justy bought revo 2.5r yesturday broke it in with 5 tanks today it wont go in reverse and 1 more thing im still running factory carb setting and now their steam coming from the glow plug area it starts fine but when it gets hot it shuts off can sum 1 help did i burn my motor up already or isd it somthing simple

The steam maybe excess fuel that came out during break-in(thats normal) burning off. The motor normally will leak out some fuel. Make sure the glow plug is tight and the head too. Don't go monkeyfisting the screws. Check to make sure everything is tight. You have to do that everyday, and sometimes during the day. I don't know about the reverse issue. I have only had a first gen maxx, and it didn't have the opti-drive in it. I'm not sure if that is where the problem is. I know with mine, i have problems withthe idle being too high for the transmission to shift. I especially had that problem when I switched motors. i don't know about the electronics of a revo. sorry.

thanks for ur help ill just keep a eye on it for now with the head and stuff
