View Full Version : Tamiya TNX 5.2R Throttle Servo Specs?
I understand that the Tamiya TNX 5.2R's Steering Servo (TP-S3010) is 90 oz/in torque.
But for the life of me, I can't find the specs for the Throttle Servo (TSU-01).
I recently bought a HiTec 168 oz/in Servo to replace the steering one, and am wondering if I should now move the stock steering servo in place of the Throttle Servo.
Thanks.

I'd imagine the stock throttle servo is a rebadged Futaba 3003. I just put a Hitec 5625 in the front of my TNX 5.2R tonight and swapped the 3010 to throttle to give me a little stronger brakes when I'm running my Big Joes. The brakes start out strong, but the servo fades after a bit of running...understandable given that I probably tripled the rotating mass on the truck by swapping the tires, but still not what I want. I plan on running the truck tomorrow. I'll let you know if I see an improvement.

I replaced my steering servo with a high torque metal geared jr servo, and put the standard steering servo as my throttle brake servo, and noticed that it was alot stronger than the stock throttle servo.Otherwise i dont know the specs of the standard throttle/brake servo but using the stock steering servo as throttle/brake servo is a good mod.
I just did the swap. Right off hand, it does seem to have a quicker response. Cool.
