well i just got a new truck well not new but a new addition. it is a savage .21bb. i got it for 175 rtr well it is in good condition and i would like to know if i should mod anything before i use it.it has the roto start. i wanted to put the 4 gear mod and maximizer diff cups. i dont plan to go crazy with powere(4 now). so any reccomend upgrades or things i should look out for? it still has lots of life in it . it only had a gallon run thru it before it was stored. and what are the opinion's on the 21BB? thanx again

Good buy! Just do the diffs and drop in a bigger engine and you're good to go!

That is a good buy! Must be that time of year, because another guy on here got a great condition t max for round about the same price. I don't know anything about the .21bb, but once it gets worn out, or u think its to slow than hpi's k4.6 ho would be a great drop in, as would a collari .32 or os .30, or an ofna force .32. Do the diffs and enjoy.

cool thanx alot i dont want any 8 port motors lots of people that i have bashed with when they go to the sand there temperatures shoot into the ssky but the 4 ports take way longer to get up to were the 8 ports do. so i was thinking maybe a ofna force .26 or the .32 or the os and if im on a budget ill get the a hyper 4 port. well thanx still waiting to get it but i still want to sell my smaxx i dont want to keep it wel not the nitro stuf parts it brings back bad memories.
thanx

well i picked it up today and wow is it in a really good condition. only thing i didnt like was that he replaced the transmitter with one from a hell fire so now i have a 4 channel reciever and 2 channel radio but ima use my traxxas one though. motor has ton of compression left and for being that old it is really nice the diffs are in excellent shape the only thing that i want to do is get it fired up and clean some of the gunk off of the under carriage and away fro mthe diff. will get pics 2morrow need to finish work!

For a good cheap engine go with the Mach .26 or Sportwerks .26(same thing). You can pick one up for $125 or less and they are very durable and make more power than the S-25. For an 8 port the Axial .28 is a beast, but you said you didn't want an 8 port. I have 3 Savages and I love them. Have fun!

cool thanks i look into that. well i finally got it to run after i got out of school. and man it is slower than my s-maxx but i like it still. and guess what i got another .21bb that has more life then the one in this truck. for free yup i guess im not out of luck yet. but i will get some hop ups as sonn as i can but it looks like i wont get the diff upgrades i thought it would b more powerful and i think the diffs can survive with stock power dont you guys think? thanx again

Nice score I'd do the diffs (4 spider) for sure and the brakes (Duel disk).
The savages are a bit slower (lower gearing) than the Maxxes but they will take alot more punishment.
Have a blast with your new addition It will take what you can give it

man yesterday i was beating the living doodoo butter out of it and i finally brock some thing.. a hub carrier after i tried a back flip and it landed precariouly close to the trash can front sied straight into the ground,. plus the hinge pin is bent on the arm en were the tire is. so im going to take this as a time to inspect it for all the abuse i put it thru and see if anything else is messed up. but i can see what my new favorite car is... THE SAVAGE!!!!!!!!!
