Just wondering what everyone things about the different systems(brushless) there are so many what is best for what application, and what is the best made all around system. I hear great things about the mamba, but have no experience with any since I am just getting back into rc after a 4 year or so break(brushless was proto at that point).

I have both A Novak (two actually, one HV 4400 system and one SS5800...the 5800 motor now runs on the HV ESC though), and a mamba max 5700 system.
I think in terms of control and throttle smoothness, my 5800/HV setup is awesome. Perfect control, does what I want, super smooth, and the whole system runs nicely (no problems with anything overheating). I can also run a 3s lipo on the motor if I really wanted to and kick it up a notch in the speed department for my TT-01.
Now, on to the MM5700. It's a beast...plain and simply. I had it geared 23/87 in my Rustler with Proline road rages all around and some IB4200s. It was absolutely awesome! The ESC didn't bat an eye with such a high gearing (the motor got to around 160 degrees F, which is more than I'm accustomed to with my Novaks, but is still well within the 200 degrees F that Castle states as a temperature limit for the motor).
The mamba can also be programmed via computer interface with a USB cable that comes with it. Needless to say, I'm addicted to being able to adjust pretty much every parameter I want to on my mamba. I wish my Novak could do that...:(
In terms of which is more flexible...I can just as easily throw a 3s lipo on my HV/5800 setup as I could the mamba (the mamba would outpower the 5800 though; I'm not running a sintered rotor, and the kv is just simply lower than the 5700 anyways).
Not a real accurate comparison considering you can't get an HV ESC from Novak though. So I guess take that for what it's worth!
(Mamba gets my vote though;))
