Trex 450. Or the Dragonus. Both of these will require a substantial investment over the CP but if you're really commited it will cost you less in the long run. (Blades for the rex are actually cheaper than the pro's)
Just keep in mind that these fly NOTHING like the CX-You will basically be starting over from scratch. The only "intermediate" bird I think is worthwhile is the Esky HoneyBee FP, but it's a chore to fly it in any sort of wind.
As always, whatever is stocked locally is usually a good idea. Waiting for parts blows chunks. ;)

The FP also has fixed pitch blades. This is also one of the reasons it's a chore to fly in the wind. The Esky CP2 and Eflite BCP/BCP pro are collective pitch helis, this means in idle-up (3D) mode, you apply negative pitch to avoid ballooning without losing headspeed. But, as you say, because they are lighter, they blow around a little more, making it difficult to fly in the wind - but the initial investment and repair is far less than a 'Rex.

Check out the EHBG link in this thread (http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=234000), it will answer any questions you might have about helis of any sort.
