I was wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Mtronic Genesis Pro just quitting on them for no reason. Today I was driving my 1/10 buggy around, which I finally got all the glitching bugs out, and out of nowhere the buggy slows to a stop, I walk over to it and the motor was making slight noises. I unplugged the battery and went to the garage. I then realize that I smell a slight smell of burnt electronics. I guess the esc just decided to take a **** on me eventhough I really have only gotten about 3 months use out of it over the past year or so Iv had it because I didnt take it up to school with me.
This is pretty wierd considering I was running the same setup I have the whole time, 6cells, and the motor and esc always are barely even warm when I am done running. Even this time, the speed control was barely even warm.
Sadly to say this may be my last straw with the hobby being I have had enough of trying to get this thing to run correctly. I simply cannot afford to have to shell out $150 everytime the electronics choose to fail on me despite me having what should be a good running setup.

Before you thow in the towel... email Mtronics and they will have you send it in. Just explain your setup and what happened as ask them what to do to get it fixed.

I smoked my Truck controller and they sent me a new one, no charge... and I got it within a couple weeks.

Maybe they will take care of you just as well.

I've damaged 3-4 Mtroniks brushless ESC's since they came out, and 2 motors. Every one has been replaced for free. Definately send them an email, or better, phone them. Some of the best warranty in the industry IMO.
