What is the best advice regarding batteries--charging? Should you charge right after flight? Hoqw long can you charge the batteries (2hours??) Could you harm the batteries if you leave them on charge overnight without supervision??

If I'm correct you should have an included charger for the 2 cell lipo battery it came with. If you are unaware of the proper handling and charging of lipo batteries find some literature and start reading, they can be dangerous if charged and or handled incorrectly. :teacher:

The E-Flite balance chargers shut off as soon as any one cell reaches 4.2 (actually aound 4.18) so theoretically there is no danger. But lipos are not like other batteries.
Never charge them unattended. This includes sleeping.
Never charge them near flammables.
Never over-discharge them, this could lead to an out of balance condition that could eventually cause them to explode or catch fire.
Any signs of puffing, put them well away from anything they can harm until the puffing goes down.
If you crash, do the same, a shorted cell can explode several minutes later.
Every lipo owner should read this thread (http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=209187)

Rocknbil knows his poo boys! listen close to what he says. mine sit in a coffee can, inverted, with the leads into it. I charge only with the suppiled charger/balancer. when the light oges out, i un-plug. When the battery can no longer achieve lift for the heli, i stop. Let the battery cool down, they will not get marm like a conventional nimh, or ni-cad during the charging cycle.
Follow instructions to the letter, and you should be just fine
