Looking for new truck recomendations

Im looking for some recomendations on my first truck. I have a 1/8 ofna buggy and a micro rs4 and Im looking for a truck for bashing in the back yard. Right now Im thinking of either the monster gt s.e. 4.6 or the Savage x ss 4.6. Im leaning toward the monster gt because I read its got 3.8 hp and the savage only has 2.9. So If I could get some opinions on what to buy I would appreciate it. Im also not worried about whether its a rtr or a kit. I will most likely replace the radio anyway. Thanks

GET THE MGT OK, OK! and usually the horsepower isn't true, but for none of the trucks its true, but JUST get what u like, or you think logically looks like a BETTER design.

sorry for asking such a common question. I did a search and it seems like there are quite a few people trying to make the same desicion. I think its pretty much a toss up. I just have one question in stock form wich truck is faster?

I would think they are about the same, the only difference i could see is the savage x having a TINY bit better top speed, but not enough that you would notice.

HAHAHAHA, Don't make me laugh like this! The savage eats the mgt 4.60SE hand down. They have similar top speed (stock) but mgt takes a little longer to get up to it instead of savage. Make you a favor and install a 3 speed, wheelies ganranteed + strong punch to get a close ditch to jump :P

p.s Well Savage X... I don't know about the X but the regular ss 4.6 is what im saying eats a mgt.

you'll need to find every weakness to both truck anyway. The wheels pin break to much on the mgt and the axles tends to get out of their spot.
As for the savage, once you eat a spur watch out, reset the whole tranny positionning and engine cause you'll eat em so fast.

I think they fixed that issue with the MGT 4.6, but i still didn't notice it with a MGT .21 with a Mach 427.

Can you PLEASE PLEASE stop saying that. It is pissing me off. So if you want to say MGT, the say so in a way like, "I like the MGT better because of these reasons, then list em. Not Savage x sucks because the chassis is funny looking.

That "funny" chassis lowers the engine and fuel tank 5mm. Bashers may not care, but to racers it makes a difference.
