any Orion v2 motor will have long brush/comm life. The Formula's are pretty good, and they have the v2 style brush hood. If you can afford it, the Orion Revolution v2's are pretty powerful. Either of those around a 12t turn rating will be more powerful than the titan.

i was looking at the Formulas, so they are pretty powerfull and long lasting and is it easy to change the brushes

the brushes require a little more time to replace, but it is worth it.

yea i would go with the V2's from Orion and peak, they seem the best for performane and ease of use.

The Orions are good but for bashing/offroad I think Checkpoints are better, because its easier to get at and remove the brushes to clean brush tubes.
Orions tend to get a hung brush due to a spec of dirt getting into the brush tube ,which will require unsoldering the brushes to clean the brush tubes properly. With a checkpoint you simply undo the brush retainer nut, much simpler.
They also last just as long between cuts. :)

nice power and good wear in my experience

The 12T orions need a brush change every month and deliver insane amounts of power. It's a good buy for the money (just pick-up a few brushes!! :D)

so a team orion SV2 formula bb 12t pro would be a good choice for the $$$? and can someone tell me how to replace the brushes? and which ones would i need to order?

To replace brushes, all you have to do is remove the springs holding the brushes in, buy a set of replacement brushess online: (http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXJBZ1&P=ML)

You can then wither use eyelets, or do what I did and solder them on to a tab on the can. Either way, it works. Then replace the brush and spring into the motor, and take it easy for the first battery or two until the brushes seat well! :D

You don't have to, but I did on my motor to better clean the armature. It's purley optional though! :D

so you just have to slide them out, and unsolder them them older the new ones on then slide them in?

The older ones use a eyelet that's easy to remove: just take a phillips to them.

Yes, you do have to slide the old ones out, and that's the easy part. The hard part is getting the solder right on the tab then re-inserting the brush and spring correctly. Make sure to put the spring on first before you solder the brush, because it's annoying to take it right back off. :roll2:
