I think that it just goes to show that you should know your enemies before you make yourself vulnerable. Don't play in the street and you won't give others opportunities to do stuff like this. Go somewhere that there is dirt and available jumps. I would venture to guess that she didn't go offroad to hit your truck. I would also venture to say that if she were guilty of a crime she would have already been arrested. Stuff happens, I've been there and learned lessons from it. Move on before you cause other issues to become big problems for both of you.

Paschal78, I'm just going by the story you relate on your own website... you refer to the woman who ran over your truck as the "damn neighbor"... but YOU, sir are the "damn neighbor."
She told you that you were keeping her from sleeping and you kept driving it.
You have no right to judge or imply that she isn't entitled to sleep at 2 in the afternoon, and you deserved to have your truck run over.
You are just whining at this point... you know you did wrong.
If you don't know now, I'm sure the judge will straighten you out on that point.
She may have had a case of road rage and been somewhat outta line, but she shut your noisy little truck up, didn't she?
:D
Dude... grow up... she could've been up half the night before... sick... or with a sick family member.
Good grief. What a dumbazz you are.

I second that and I had a reaction to looking at the website. I wasn't going to mention it but it bugs me enough to hear someone say that they were hurt and weren't able to work, so they went out and bought an R/C car to spend the time with. I have broken bones, torn ligaments, fractured bones and dislocated shoulders and knees and not once did I go out and whine about not being able to work. I especially didn't skip work and then go around bragging about buying a toy to pass the time with. I think if I missed work due to a threatening injury, I missed one day of work and was back out on the job soon after, lifting, pulling, pushing and reaching. I was bothered by the comment; I am sure others were as well but didn't feel like telling you.

She should go to jail for sure. I thought my neighbors were tough too. Why is she trying to sleep in the afternoon anyways.

Savage, you miss the whole point. If someone in your neighborhood says, "Turn that thing off, I'm trying to sleep," you just do it... end of story. It's the considerate thing to do.
Awnelson, he said the wreck was in '04... he could be legitimately and permanently disabled, and if so, no one would really begrudge him the small indulgence of a new toy.
But none of that makes up for the fact that he acted like a complete jerk by ignoring the woman's telling him she couldn't sleep.

Dude screw her, I would have hobbled after her something fierce. Start calling in complaints on her for speeding through the complex. If she wants to make it hard on you make it 2x as hard on her until she stops.

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\that might be the most immature thing i have ever heard./\/\/\/\
as was said by RCCA a few issues back, (roughly) "it is a lot easier for you to move your 10lbs truck than for them to move there house" i think it was mean to run over your truck yes, but you were still an a**hole not sympathizing with her.

o.O weirdo's. I cannot understand some points of views here. I am usually understanding but, some opinions in this thread are messed up. Makes me think differently even more about a lot of people in this forum already. I respect your opinions but I completely disagree with some. I think its bad to not have listened to her complaint, but then she is being a f@ggot to run over your car instead of Kindly going down and asking if you would go some place else to play. She was wrong to in the sense that you have the freedom to play with you car anytime anywhere you want to unless it's braking some kind of law. If you cant use your Rc around were you live, that is the Most Wrong Thing in the world. That Woman is a bad example of Canadians. CANADA RULES!!!!!!!

On a scale of one to ten.
Annoying the neighbour, 0.01 Fact of life I'm afraid, People living close to each other can hear the other peoples activities, Like it or not we have to lump it, Give and take both directions, The world doesn't stop because some cranky goat wants silence in the mid-afternoon.
Assault with a car, well, Thats a 10 folks, Thats how people including children get killed, And the fact that it was done over a noise complaint demonstrates the mentality of the person involved. At the very least reparation and a jail sentence should be required, And those of you supporting her actions must be on drugs. People cant just pull retarded stunts such as this even if they have a legitimate complaint.

.... instead of Kindly going down and asking if you would go some place else to play.
Learn to read, she tried that, he ignored her. Kindly? If I stood outside your door practicing my cymbals while you were playing your favorite x-box game, do you think you'd react kindly?
you have the freedom to play with you car anytime anywhere you want to unless it's braking some kind of law.
Yeah, and annoy anyone you like, too, no one's going to tell YOU what to do, right? Who cares about the rest of the world, all that matters is me me me, have I got that right?
Things like this are why there is more and more legislation banning nitro RC in many residential areas now. New laws for you to break coming to a courthouse near you soon.
It's up to all of us to set a good example for the hobby, but I think it's probably too late.

Huh, I could have sworn she was yelling at him to stop.
Quote "One day my neighbor (a woman) started to yell at me to stop that thing because i guess it was too loud for her and she couldn't sleep" Read it and weep. I guess I can read, but I admit I cant spell LOL =P

To be fair guys i think she was a bitch...running over someones car is no excuse for anything and there is no way in hell that it can be justified!
If someone was moeing their lawn at 9:00 am in the morning as allot of people do, your not going to run over that are you? its common sence!
No he should not have carried on when she asked you to stop, or yelled to stop or whatever but i do think its rediculouse that anyone would sleep at 2:00 in the morning and still expect everyone to stay silent outside, thats not how a community works. if she is sleeping late she should expect that people are going to be doing what they want to do and there is NO EXCUSE for running over someones rc car for it!
I do hope you win the case man and i do understand why people think you are being the "bad neighbout" although i dont agree...just remember to be a little more sympathetic in future..if someone asks you to stop...go somewhere else if you can...

I agree with Demon. My dad works in a restaurant/ club so his hours last until the Am so he sleeps during the day. He dose not complain that there is too much noise and he cant sleep instead he buys ear plugs that cost.. 2 dollars? Sleeps literally soundless.

There are those Turd cutter neighbors that complain no matter what. If you fart, their on the phone with the cops complaining about the smell! I run eletric and had complains I was in here yard.....and I was not! My neighborhood is hard on anything gas powered! One day you here a Noob with his new nitro runnning on and of for about a week and then quite. I find out that person quit the hobby cause of the calls to the cops. sad, sad, sad!
My state the law states I can make noise from 7am to 10pm to a certin level....and a nitro ripping up and down the street doesn't make enough noise for the cops to do anything............but the annoying fact is the cops were called is frusterating! Look into your local noise ordenance's and follow them, most likely your well with in your rights to run your truck anyway!

It seems as though your over-action of not respecting your neighbor's privacy prompted her over-reaction of breaking your truck. Sorry to hear it
But, you not only need to be compliant with the law, but with the rules set forth in your complex. From a legal standpoint, you may be fine. But that doesn't mean you weren't being disrespectful.
Her, on the other-hand, may face a series of charges. Willful destruction of private property for one. Misdemeanor, resulting in full re-imbursement of property, dependant on ruling. Next, is Wreckless Op with the intent to commit/cause bodily harm or damage. THIS is a felony. Not knowing exactly what took place when she came after you with her vehicle is problem. Those details would be "key" in court. If she DID, and there's witnesses, she's got a much bigger problem than just having to worry about paying for your truck.
Keep us informed on what happened. And, be a little more courteous towards those you live around. ;) I bash my nitros here in the neighborhood. If any of my neighbors asked me to go elsewhere, I certianly would. :)

Same here man, i personally (or we as a family rather) are close to our neighbours, we have a very freingly hood and with a little common sence and common curtecy we get along just fine...if it was 8:00 in the afternoon out of respect i would never fire up a nitro as i kno some smaller kids may ne sleeping...BUT you must agree that 2:00 in the afternoon is a perfectly reasonable time to be doing whatever really...

I agree with woodman.
Maybe she was yelling at you to stop, but your nitro is loud, you have to raise your voice to be heard. Her yelling made you mad so you ignored her, you ignoring her made her even madder, and it escalated.
There has been quite a controversy here in Michigan with Nitro tracks, They have been having problems with neighbors because of the noise. 2 have closed, and 1 had to restrict hours. I think some Nitro guys don't think about the noise they make, it's not the decibels of the noise they make, it's the pattern of the noise that becomes irritating. It's not like a lawnmower that is a constant drone that only changes as the mower comes closer and then moves away. With a nitro its WOT for 10-15 seconds (straight), let off burp the throttle a few times (corner), then WOT for another 10 seconds (straight), burp it again 3 or 4 times (corner), then WOT again for 5 seconds (Arching corner)........ etc, etc.
Bottom line.... She was wrong for running over your truck & should lose in court, but it was caused by YOUR arrogance.
Well put tommckay.
Rabble.

My neighbors get pissed when I drive it on a sunday at 10:00am. Thats why they invented ear plugs and eye masks so people can do whatever they want at whatever time.
Everything in life has to be resolved by the proper channels. There is no right or wrong. Both parties had their rights untouched until she jumped in her car and charged toward his RC. As mad as she could be, she gave away her rights by carrying her own vendetta. She thinks she is tough, lets see in court after such incidents.
I have a job that half the time I work midshift and many times I have to get my 8 hour sleep from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.
The neighbor's gardener cuts the lawn at 7:5 to 7:30am every monday. No matter how much I scream and curse I JUST CANT go jump in my car and ram toward the lawnmower. What was the next step, ear plugs and sleeping eye covers.
Poor lady is trying to sleep at 2:00pm, another freak.

If someone doesn't have the decency to respect a neighbor, then action should be taken. Honestly, I wouldn't run over anything but I would contact a landlord/authorities if an A$$ would continue be a nuisance after being asked to quiet down.
Obviously you can't recognize the fact that I function like a normal person- Anytime someone asked me if I could go somewhere else, I went somewhere else. What is so hard about that?. Hopefully after reading this you will understand.

Well Looks like a 50/50 deal to me......
You were rude to not listen when she tried to talk to you. Had you said well miss i am sorry the noise bothers you but i am well within my rights, might have been a better out come. also would have been a good time to mention lawnmowers and weed eaters. OHH and dont forget those deaf fellows in the little drivable speakers **BOOM BOOM**.
I am sure your court case will turn in your favor as you must have a good attorney/Doctor to get someone who looks an acts perfectly well off on a disablity. Must be nice to be so disabled you can stay home rolling around and picking up your kids!! Maybe you can sue the woman for the mental anguish ?
Bottom line folks the lady was wrong. If this was at 2AM he would be wrong. Also alot of places don't even have a noise ordinance. I must say pascal im sorry for your car's sad end but you really deserved it as a person. I bet you even use those little blue parking stickers.

What the hell are you talkin about? you have no right at all to damage someones property when they are perfectly within their rights to be doing something...
"action should be taken" yea heard it all before buddy, thats how wars start! so please think about what your saying!
Fact of the matter is that at 2:00 in the afternoon he can do whatever the hell he wants (within limits) and driving a nitro truck arround is WELL within those limits!
Dont give me this BS about functioning like a normal person because no thats not how civilised people do work!

You've obviously got a skewwed outlook on how "normal humans" function socially. Are you currently on any perscribed medication?
