well guys I'm starting to get more parts in to keep going.. I started with a TLT Rock Buster.. Basically only using the axle witch are built with ball bearing of course. I've locked the both axle using hot glue, my first attempt at a crawler so I fiquired I was safer going this way.. Next came the new chassis I got the Extreme XRC 2.2 TLT setup with a 50/50. so here is a a few pic's of what I have done so far.

Looking good so far! I would swap the tires out to Mashers or Moabs. and add some weight in the front tires and cut foams in a star pattern. Get some really soft springs and run thin oil all the way around. Try and keep all the electronics as low as possible.
I have a brushless setup if your interested in going that route. $108 plus shipping Mamba 25 esc with a few runs on it and deans and a Holmes Hobbies Revolver 2 outrunner brushless motor. Both in excellent shape. I ran this a few times on my rig and loved it.
Keep us updated with pics :D

Are you going to run BTA steering? It looks like you have positioned both axles to have a bit of an angle on them. If you run your steering in the front, your aproach (sp) angle may suffer.
Just my 2 cents.

Looks good, you should take the front bumper thingy off though. It helps a lot with it off. Also, what is up with the angle of your axles? Mine aren't like that.

Savage thanks, I was planing on taking those bumpers off, still just trying to get it set up.. I'm not quite sure why my axle are at such an angle.. pretty sure I just need to relocate the shocks higher up.

your axles have that crazy angle is because either the top links are too long or the bottom are too short. try mounting the top links in a different position

I had the same problem with mine, that is the result I came up with. If you can get things to work, Behind the Axle Steering is the best, that away it is not out front to get in the way with the rocks. On the rear the stearing can stay in the back.
