Well i THINK i wanna change my pimpcane, I got the one that james had and now im thinking of making it shorter or changing it completely. If i shorten it i was thinking of removing about 2 inches in the center of the cane at re attaching it with thick rubber, My Thought is this would allow enough flex to make a HUGE difference on sharp angles and would allow my new body to fit better. Or i can go with this http://www.rcpcrawlers.com/chassis.html looking at the The Crawler Store CFNN. Any input is always cool :)

Don't try to cut the chassis in the middle and reattach it. If anything take 2in off the front and redrill the hole in the front. What wheelbase are you looking for?

If you cut it in the middle won't that greatly effect the torsion part of the chassis. I would think it would hurt more than help. Yeah you could twist with ease and angles for climbing will increase but only the front axle will get some push from the rear because of the bending.

That makes sence, Figured if was a GOOD idea someone else would have thought of it. Im thinking of putting a authentic looking body on it thats why the change. Want it to look like a truck NOT a Praying Mantis.

Well you could always catch the bugs with the front axle up in the air if you cut the chassis in half. Praying Mantis's are awesome at that ;)

Why not just buy another 12.5in Backbone or just cut the one you have down to 12.5in. This is my Scale Build off of a Pimp Cane. This one has a 12.5in Wheelbase and flipped rear axle. PM me and I can tell you how to cut you chassis or where to get another one.
