Whats the better choice between the Integy Matrix V10 Motor and the Integy Matrix Pro Lathe Motor? Are there any better ones other than these two?

Basically, you need torque. The lathe motors are the most popular 45T, 55T, and 65T with 55T probably the one to go with. The V10 I would not recommend for crawling, but you could use it. After, torque gearing comes next...go low! You need control, speed is not as useful. It's not as easy as use this motor due to all the variable you could have. If you have a clod based or TXT you'd be using two motors, etc etc. I've got the Integy 55T lathe for mine, and Integy is starting to make purpose build crawler motors, but they are a little mort $$ that the lathes. Hope that helps.

I noticed there are all these from Integy...
Integy Matrix Pro Lathe Motors are availible in 35T, 45T, 55T, 65T, 75T Singles
Integy V10 Rock Crawler Hand Wound Motor are availible in 50T, 55T and 60T Singles
You said the V10 was no good, but the V10 is the one you mentioned that was coming out soon! As far as I know, the V10 is the newer model and thats why I asked if it was better than the lathe motor.

Sorry for the confusion Jaws, but you said the "Matrix" V10 motor, the rock crawler motors don't have the Matrix designation, so I though you were talking about their other motors. Integy is a good company, so if they say the V10 rock crawler is more suited for crawling, then go for it, but it's about $10 more than the lathe. Either way, it's a win win.

I have stock tranny's and tires... no motor mounts. I will be getting the adj motor mounts in a couple weeks and some pinions to go with it!
