I was woundering if anyone here could help me out with some ideas. Were trying to see about starting a new track in the area, and are intersted in what people think makes a track successfull, and what racers want to see/hear. Stuff like that. So all info is very much welcomed. Hope to hear from ya soon.

Usually, when you look at a track, you see at least one high speed straightaway.
At my local track, we have something for everyone. Elevation changes are popular. Big jumps are usually a winner also. If guys are going to run electric stock classes, be sure to give them an alternative to the big jump (example: mod or gas guys do a quad jump, but for the electric guys, give them a double-double)
The tracks that the guys design at my local track are tracks that require a vehicle to turn. Anyone can go straight. Maybe include a chicane? A rhythm section is a make or break section for your lap time. Try to include one of those.
Dirt is very important. I dont know what you're budget is but if you could find some fresh clay and mix it with some top soil. Remove the big rocks.
The 4" drainage tubing is 40 dollars per 100 feet at Lowes. That is something to consider also.
Good luck

Thanks for the information, we are currenty looking at some sites. We were looking at doing an indoor track for all modifications, and stuff like that. But there is regulations to being able to run Gas indoors, so were looking into some heavy duty vents, and stuff like that. I'm working on trying to find designe ideas and stuff like that too.
