My friend just got a yellow supervee, and we took it out to the boating park for a first run. It was awesome, untill the second time we put it in the water, another man had the EXACT SAME radio and frequency crystal. Long story short, my friend's supervee took off, full throttle, full speed, into a concrete incline, up 8 feet into the air, and landed on a few rocks.

The hull is scratched up, there are a lot of cracks, the rudder is bent, the water outlet for cooling was violently ripped out due to a battery snagging it as it was flung foreward, there is a lotta repair work needed to be done...

Anyway's, is there a way to fix everything up, especially the fiberglass hull, and still manage to make it look like it did and work like it did when it was new out of the box? Has anyone else wrecked this badly and still managed to get everything working?

Thanks in advance!

Got any pictures??? If the damage is too severe maybe it might be best to just get another hull and swap in the parts...

Thats part of the problem.... Aquacraft does not make replacement hulls.... or so I have heard.

i sent them an e-mail to see if they have bare hulls available...we'll see what they say in a day or two.

I guess they didn't want to release any bare hulls because of the SuperVee Nitro, but now that it's out they might????

Honestly No, I cant but I was wondering how it performed. The supervee that is??

as it comes out of box, it is fast 26-30 mph boat that is well suited for newcomers to learn with. change the prop and you can achieve speeds of up 40 mph(boat starts getting squirrely around 36mph). set up time for most 'spec' super vee racing is around 30minutes(while you wait for the batt.s to charge). left turns should be taken wide(or avoided) when the boat is at speed. hth

can u help with some questions about the supervee 27
Ill do my best =D ask away and Ill get back to you.

BTW we got it running again, the hull was damaged to the point where we were concerned about leaks, but after gently bending the rudder back into shape, and using a fiberglass repair kit, and some CA glue, we had it running again!

Yea, the supervee can achieve speeds up to 30 mph with all the stock componets, the only thing is that it will become a lot more unstable as speed increases, or depending on the conditions of the water. I was surprized at the size of the supervee's hull! The hull is 27 inches long, so this is a pretty big boat, and the bigger it is, the more stable it is, but even at 30 mph I had to turn carefully, otherwise risk it flipping over and having to retrieve it in the middle of nowhere =/ . I am used to driving RC Trucks, so It took me a while to adjust to getting the boat to hydroplane before bringing it up to a higher speed, but after 10 seconds or so, it was humming around extremely quick, I am surprized at the speed!
Overall I am very pleased with the supervee brushless, as it is fast, fun, pretty quiet, and since it uses two battery packs, it is easy to acheive about 6 minutes of high speed boating. I was not worried at all about the motor temp, the cooling system works awesome, and besides, it uses a brushless motor (brushless motors are very efficient), so less energy is wasted. The battery packs are very hot after coming out after a run, but that is to be expected.

The supervee27 is mildly difficult to operate, that is if you have little or no previous boat or rc experience, it would be suitable for ages 13 and up... as long as they have experience with the control system.

The onyl thing that I did not like about the supervee, is the fact that it does not take left turns as easily as it takes right turns, and this is due to the rotation of the prop... but the difference isnt really that much of a worry, I think I acheived 40% with left turns, and 60% efficiency with right hand turns.

I rate the supervee as such
-enjoyability: 10/10
-runtime:10/10 with two 3300mah battery packs, it is easy to acheive about 7 mins average
-durability:10/10, because it held up suprisingly well after a collision with a concrete barrier @ full speed, everything was repairable
-part availibility:9/10, because replacement hulls are not available at all, but everything else is
-power: 10/10, the stock brushless motor is awesome!
-radio gear: 8/10 becuase it is an FM system 75mhz, but the user is limited by the color of their boat and the radio system (each frequency is determined by the color of the hull, so an orange boat will be on a different frequency than a yellow one, but that means 2 people with stock radios and yellow SV's are not able to race, plus I did not find a place where the user can remove the freq crystal... maybe i didnt look hard enough...but it looks like what it comes with is what you will have to deal with.
-Steering:9/10, only because turning to the right is easier than to the left, but other than that tuning the dual rate is pretty easy to acheive quick and responsive turns, even the servo that is provided is pretty decent
-cooling system:10/10, watercooling helped A LOT! the motor stays at a pretty constant temperature while running, and after a run the motor is cool enough to touch safely, I hardly noticed a difference from when I first put it and and after it ran.
Thanks for your time!

perhaps the radio that came with your's is FM, but all the SV's I've seen came with AM radios. then too Aquacraft uses the same channels for its hammer ep(don't know about their other products but, suspect they do as well).
