I just got my hands on Tamiya’s Multi function unit for their F-350 and decide to let you guys in on the installation process. I took photos as I figured out all those wires. Here you go.

Here’s a big pile of LEDs and they all need a home.

Don’t let that pile of wires worry you. Tamiya uses specific colors for each light and gives you labels to put onto them so you know where to put them when plugging into the main control unit.

This control unit is connected to the main unit through three different wiring harnesses. It’s mounted in a plastic container that has door to protect the controls while driving the truck. A small strong magnet keeps it closed. The control unit is mounted to the chassis and is accessed from underneath the truck.

Here’s the assembled speaker assembly. The speaker is protected by some cloth mesh.

A small motor with a counter balance weight causes the truck to shimmy when in operation. Molded plastic covers protect the two parts.

The speaker assembly and vibration unit fit snuggly between the F-350’s frame rails.

The main unit of the Multifunction unit is mounted above the motor at an angle. Room inside the cab is limited.
It's time for bed. I'll have more for you soon.
