hi all, thanks for all your help with earlier post glad to see the boating community is as friendly as the car world.
ive got my first electric boat its an anderson 25 inch mono hull i think???
does mone mean one hull??
any how it came with a bog standard 540 motor and a simple on off type speed controller pretty crap??
so i ripped all that out and at the mo its got an lrp qc3 waterproof speedo
and a reedy 19 turn motor running on 6 gp3300 world spec cells
and i have to say im well impressed.
i does get a little hot if i run for more than 5 mins without a cool down break, as you all said it would running with car esc, however i dont mind this as i dont race and its just for fun.
my question is this will i notice much of a difference in performance if i run a 7cell 8.4v pack of gp3300s
hope you can help,
dean

don't know if you'll see much improvement in the speed department, but you'll see an increase in motor temps(if you keep using the same prop). you should drop down one step/size with prop if you chose to increase the cell count.

Actually one more cell can really kick it up more than one would think.

One more cell can also burn it up faster than one would think aswell...

Exactly what prop did he say he had?

A 19T running the same prop with 6 cells, if it is now getting a few minutes runtime and staying just warm will have no problem running 7 cells.

I would only hope he is running something like a 432 for that combo. He needs more motor in that hull to get it to run fast with less effort.

I would throw a SV27 motor and ESC in it to get it to run with impressive speed and runtime. 12 cells.
