Well hi guys Ive been seeing more and more of rock crawling in Rc Car Action magazine. Well I just moved to Nebraska not to long ago. (have you seen Nebraska no mountains or rocks) Well when I lived in Fresno, CA it was kinda getting big and Im getting more and more interested. I would like to make one of my own in the next year or 2. Can you guys give me any advice into making my own.

Welcome, paperclipracer. There are a number of ways to get into crawling. As mentioned Clods are popular, but TLT-1 based rigs are just as popular. You can also make a inexpensive crawler by doing some minor mods to a TXT-1. Kevin Hetmanski shows you how in the upcoming issue of RC Monster Trucks. PTI sells a rock crawler kit and Axial will soon. Check out RCP Crawlers Inc. for just about everything you might need for your crawler project. Keep us posted on your progress, and feel free to ask any questions you might have and share what you learn as you go along.
