I just received an order from Advantage Hobby via UPS, and it was the usual half-crushed box. Luckily the contents were a bunch of small parts which were not damaged, but I've had things broken in the past from UPS.
My question is this; do any of you receive boxes from UPS that are damaged? And if so, we all need to start contacting UPS customer service to complain. These people seem to be very rough with their cargo.
Thanks for reading this.

One of my best friends was a UPS man. He retired a few years ago. He would cringe to hear say this. He was very proud of his work and the company he worked for! UPS has packaging criteria which need to be met by the shipper. This is the correct place to start any investigation of damage to a shipment. If you consider the amount of parcels handled by the company, I believe the attrition rate is very low. I have shipped thousands of shipments through UPS with very little problems. Still damage can and will happen. You need to be fair, go to customer service and see what help they can give you.

Most of the damage to shipments I've received can be traced directly to the company that shipped them, not UPS. Poor packaging, flimsy boxes, objects left to rattle about in a box 10x the size needed, that kind of stuff. If people would take the time to package things properly a lot of this stuff wouldn't happen.

nice digging of a buried old thread, but UPS, USPS, FedEx, they all use conveyor system for handling parcels. How is the little box going to be when it's followed down a chute by a big box?

Think "lightbulb" followed by "anvil". UPS handles 70 pounds now, right? Your little RC package don't stand a chance.

Every package I recieve from UPS is damaged.
Well packaged doesnt make a bit of differance coming from them I always expect a box to be crushed torn or crushed and torn.
I get boxes all the time with a sticker on it saying it had been opened to check contents for damage.
I never use the football team called UPS to ship because of this.

If you don't use UPS then who do you use? Is there a way to ship and recieve packages that are not damaged?
