G'day

I'm not far away from putting the boat into the water for a run -
My fuel I have at present is
62% methyl Alcohol
18% Oil
20% Nitro

I.m using an O.S. 0.61 VR-M (just re-built it)
the fuel is normally for my 1/8 Off rod buggy

??? Is 18% oil good enough for marine??

I've seen 11% oil content sold at the LHS, but I've always avoided this

A mate of mine told me the ideal mix for oil is 22% (11% castor, plus 11% synthetic)

Either way, I always run on the rich side to get the max. mileage out of my toys :)

18% oil is fine as you want it between 18 and 20% but I don't see any real problem with going up to 22%.

One of those figures has to be wrong, 106% total :roll2:
