How about some rules? it's only 18 days away and there is no official 2007 rules yet or do you plan to make them up on the spot like last year?
What is the final word on classes are you going for size or how it's powered?
Speed how is it going to be mesured with radar or traps? is there a minimum hight required to hit the track lights or beam if using the tracks timing system?

If I were you, I would follow his instructions if you have questions: "George Gonzalez, "The G-Man" is organizing the event. He'll be here on the board to answer your questions, or you can contact him directly at georgeg@airage.com. Please put "Worlds Fastest Question" in the subject box."
...but according to this...
http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=233511
...it's same rules as last year.
However, those rules, which used to be linked here...

...are no longer accessible.
Entry form here...

...which (last year) could be faxed in if you didn't have time to mail it to...

As well as I remember, they said the speed would be measured with traps this year... I wouldn't worry about a minimum height... I'm sure anything taller than a pancake on ball bearings will ring up just fine.

Found some info on their planned use of traps: http://forums.radiocontrolzone.com/showthread.php?t=223944
Lito Reyes (post #24): From what I remember of my discussions with George about this over the past few weeks, we will be having a speed trap backed up with Stalker radar guns at each end of the track. Although there was talk earlier in the year of having to back up a run with another within a certain percentage, I don't think this will be in the rules. Hey, it's totally possible for something to happen after the speed trap that renders the car unusable, so we'll have to rely on the trap and use the two Stalkers for validation.
Patrick M (post#26): JMO.. real (1 to1) automotive speed records require backup runs. If the car cannot make the backup run, for whatever reason, it does not set a record. The way it should be....
Rumor is that two drag race timing systems will be used. Each timng system has two speed traps, one for each lane. The two speed traps can be placed in one lane and used in tandem to record speeds, thus providing a backup and eliminating the need for radar guns and the inherent "doppler miscue" factor.

The point is there is no rules or rep from RCCA here on the forums?
This is really starting to be a joke they want people to build and spend money on a car for this contest yet there is still no rules or classes posted?
Does anyone from RCCA even look at these forums? you would think they would I guess they dont care they know at least a few die hards will show up so they can get there article for the magazine. :(

I can't wait to see your rig - it looks like you went with two wheels up front this time. Did you resolve your clutch issues?
