Anyone that reads the RS4 forum will know that I broke the rotostart system on mine the day I got it. So today I decided to go down to Boyztoys (LHS) and get a pullstart. They has none in stock for my car but a CEN one fit perfectly.
Anyway, later on me and 2 of my mates (1 had his Kyosho FW05T+ with him) went up to out bashing spot. We messed around done a few drag races etc. Then we were just doing high speed runs in the opposite direction. On one of the runs I was doing around 40+ mph and my mate was doing over 30. He turned for some strange reason straight into the way of my car. I went full speed into the side of his car. I pushed his exhaust so far into the side of the car the petrol tank broke off. It spiralled in the air sending petrol absolutely everywhere. It was an amazing sight.
We checked the damage and he needed a new petrol tank and one of those rubber things that connect the exhaust and manifold. At first it looked like my turnbuckles were just disconnected but when I fixed them my car wouldn't move at all. Turn out my engine moved and the whole gear system wasn't sitting together.
I have an old blown up CEN fun factor in the shed so I said I'll give him that tank to see if it will fit. So we went back to my house to try it. It fit perfectly with no modification at all. Take note Kyosho FW05T people. We wrapped some insulation tape around where the exhaust and manifold joined and decided to see if it would work. It started first pull from when it was completely cold. This was well over an hour after the last run in crap Irish weather. The car was actually running better that it did at first today. :D
