Just wondering how you guys with MT, Buggies or Truggies go about measuring toe. I heard some people are using a ruler. How does that process work, and how do you know how many degrees it is? I'm looking for a fairly accurate way of doing this, without dropping $100+ on a set-up board. Truggy racing isn't huge around here so I'm not worried about getting the most accurate system.

I bet you could use something flat, like wood or something, and take a ruler against the outsides of your tires and mark lines on the board. Next, take a square (right-angle metal tool) and mark some perfect right angles where your line began on the tire. If you had a protractor, you could find the angle, or do some trig to get the toe angle.

I bought an RPM toe - in gauge for like $9. you can really experiment with different set ups and find out a lot about handling and traction with fairly cheap tools. Duratrax makes a camber gauge for $7. Dont be scared to play with these tools, you learn a lot.

Yeah I've already got the camber gauge, and had a toe gauge from RPM a few years ago, but it wasn't wide enough to measure on my MGT. It couldn't get to the outsides of the tires. Was just wondering what options there were.

What I usually do is that I take off all 4 wheels and I replace them by cd's ( preferably faulty ones and I put two at each end). They are easier and more accurate to work with rather than the actual wheels.
